The Register Aspects of Language in Situation journal (REALIS) is an open-access, peer-reviewed journal dedicated to the empirical and theoretical investigation of language in context. It focuses on how linguistic choices are shaped by situational, social, and cognitive factors, with particular attention to register, style, and language use across modalities and varieties. The journal welcomes contributions from linguistics, sociology, psychology, and related fields, including interdisciplinary approaches, in the form of research papers, annotation guidelines, corpus descriptions, and discussion papers.
